Sometimes, I just don’t understand why so many girls dream about Valentine’s Day. When I talk this with my friends, they always laugh at me. They tell me that Valentine’s Day is a gift from god. This is a Lucky Day for all the girls in love. At first, I highly doubted about it; but when I heard Lucy’s story, I changed my attitude.
On Valentine’s Day, Lucy and her boyfriend Johnson were walking around on the street after they saw the romantic movie Rome Holiday, a movie that every couple would see on this special day. Johnson was talking about having a Valentine’s party that night. Then, suddenly he found out that Lucy was not listening. What was she doing? She was attracted by the Tiffany shop. Without hesitation, she dragged Johnson to the fancy shop. Johnson was never a person who liked shopping. So after they spent half an hour in the shop and Lucy finally found her favorite necklace, Johnson didn’t even notice that his girlfriend wanted this necklace. But the Tiffany necklace was, in her words “the only necklace that I fall in love with at first sight.” You can image how disappointed she was when they step out of the Tiffany shop without the necklace, after all this was Valentine’s Day. On their way back, she was so upset that when Johnson kept talking about that party, she burst into a shout. Then, the quarrel started.
She got home, sat down, thinking what happened just now. At first, she was angry “what kind of boyfriend would do this to her girlfriend on Valentine’s Day”. Then, as she thought it deeper, she began to see her fault. She thought: “I shouldn’t have behaved like that. Johnson never likes go shopping. I should have thought more for him.” She felt a little guilty and was just about to call her boyfriend to say sorry, when she heard the knock on the door. It was Johnson. “I am so sorry. Finally I figured out what was boring you. It was my fault. You will forgive me, won’t you?” Johnson said. “Oh, don’t say that. My darling, it was also my fault.” Lucy replied. Then, it came the unforgettable moment. Johnson took out the Tiffany necklace. “I know you like and this is the Valentine’s present.” “Thank you, and this is my Valentine’s present.” Lucy gave him a big kiss.
